General Information

San Juan de los Remedios, better known as Remedios, is a municipality and city located northeast of the central province of Villa Clara. Founded in 1513 by the Spanish Vasco Porcallo de Figueroa in the footsteps of Diego Velázquez, it is known as the Eighth Villa, and it had 3 population settlements before the attacks of corsairs and pirates.
