Another jewel of the architecture of the historic center of the city. Ciudad is the Teatro Principal, considered one of the best theaters in Cuba. In the center of the city, the José Martí park is located, which was remodeled in 1995, its origins go back to the 1800s where the Alfonso III Plaza was located in the same place, with a gazebo in the center where the municipal symphony orchestra I played on Sundays. Around this park are located several buildings dating from the first half of the twentieth century, and along the main street of the city are located other old buildings.
