The Hotel Camino de Hierro is excellently located in the historic center of Camagüey, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The name of the hotel "Camino de Hierro", is a reminder of the importance they had of the railway lines for the prosperity of Camagüey.The development of the city took place on April 5, 1846, immediately after the completion of the railway line in Nuevitas.It has the railway theme in mind, and beautiful works of art by the renowned artist Marta Jimenez, was inaugurated as a hotel in August 2011.The Iron Road with 45 meters of covered terraces is the longest in the province. The original balcony was replaced by a reproduction of wrought iron in the nineteenth century. It has 10 standard rooms equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, radio, telephone, minibar and private bathroom, all of them with a beautiful view of the city and the colonial patio that it has.
