Santuario de la Virgen del Cobre

Description

La Gran Piedra

Description

This striking place is only 16 km away from the city. Fortaleza San Pedro de la Roca

Cementerio Santa Ifigenia

Description

This cemetery was inaugurated in February 1868. It was the 3rd cemetery officially used in Cuba, much of the past and present history of this Caribbean city is found in its tombs. The site is a National Monument since 1979, because of the rich historical, architectural and cultural arsenal that it treasures. Names of men closely linked to the history of the struggle for freedom appear in the registers of the necropolis, which makes it a mandatory place of reference for the visitor.

Cuartel Moncada

Description

The Moncada Barracks, known as "Ciudad Escolar 26 de Julio", is now a building dedicated to teaching in Santiago de Cuba.
